Shadowing me

Physiotherapy work experience

Observe, experience and learn with one of London’s top physios. Please note that due to surgery, Nell is not able to offer work experience in 2023.

Observational placements and work experience are some of the most exciting parts of being a student. After all the reading and wondering, this is your chance to get a real insight into what life as a physiotherapist is like: from watching patient assessments and treatments to an insider’s view of what it takes to manage an office and run a small business.

Would you like to join me in clinic?

Physiotherapy work experience London

Depending on my patients’ consent (and the current situation and rules around COVID-19!), I am happy to offer shadowing opportunities to individual work experience students who are keen to study physiotherapy at university; to undergraduate or postgraduate students; or to interested healthcare professionals.

Here at my busy clinic in the heart of London, every day is different. I treat patients with all kinds of issues, including many complex or long-term cases who have been to a number of specialists before they get to us. We’ll discuss your goals for your time with me and I’ll do my best to help you make the most of it. To learn more about what an observational placement is like, you can read this article by a recent student about her experience with me.

Please note that I am not able to offer practical placements or internships.

If you would like to observe me in clinic, please get in touch! I do receive a lot of requests, so if you are a work experience student or undergraduate, please include your CV and a covering letter explaining why you want to observe my work and (if work experience) why you are interested in studying physiotherapy.

I am having surgery in March 2023 and will not be able to take on any work experience students this year.  However, I am still happy to meet people occasionally for coffee and chat about physiotherapy/university advice.
