Clinic treatment room

When you come to our clinic for the first time, before we start, we’ll have a comprehensive consultation with you to learn more about your condition. This includes discussing your current issues, any previous medical problems, and any symptoms you may be experiencing. It’s important for me to understand as much as possible about your condition so that I can provide you with the most effective treatment.

In addition to learning about your medical history, I will also ask you about your lifestyle and what you hope to achieve from physiotherapy. This will give me a better understanding of what is important to you, and what you hope to gain from your treatment. For instance, you may be looking to improve your mobility, reduce pain, or increase your strength and flexibility. Understanding your goals will help me create a personalized treatment plan that is tailored to your specific needs.

I understand that some issues may be sensitive, and I will always respect your privacy and wishes. If there are certain things that you would prefer not to discuss, I will respect that decision. During our discussion, I may make some recommendations for you to consider, such as watching educational videos, purchasing equipment, or visiting other practitioners for further tests or treatments. My goal is to provide you with the most comprehensive care and support possible, so that you can achieve your goals and enjoy a better quality of life.

Clinic treatment area

After we have had a thorough consultation, it will be time to move onto the physical assessment. During this part of the process, I will take an in-depth look at your posture and movements to better understand the cause of your symptoms. This might include testing your muscles and joints, as appropriate.
As the assessment progresses, I may make minor temporary adjustments to your posture to see if this has any impact on your symptoms. This helps us to determine the root cause of the problem and identify where the real issue lies. Is the painful area the source of the problem, or is it just trying to compensate for an underlying issue elsewhere?

This information is crucial in helping us develop a customized treatment plan that is tailored to your specific needs. Whether it’s through manual therapy, exercise prescription, or other techniques, my goal is to help you achieve the best possible outcome.

I understand that the thought of undergoing a physical assessment can be daunting, but as an experienced physiotherapists I am here to support you every step of the way. I will work with you to make sure that the process is as comfortable and stress-free as possible, so that you can feel confident and at ease as we work together to find a solution to your symptoms.

Specialist physio clinic - Client reviews

"Absolutely outstanding treatment from Nell- she was incredibly thorough, kind and understanding and really thinks outside the box in terms of diagnosis and treatment. Results have been life changing, would recommend to anyone"
Adventure T.
"Where others had failed to identify the cause or the cure, her Holmes-like investigative questions and observations soon isolated the cause of the problem and she was able to treat it. Remarkable results and I couldn't recommend 'the best physio in London' highly enough. Thank you Nell"
Martin G.
"Nell is my first port of call when I have any type of pain and they always fix my self-inflicted injuries, even when the source isn't obvious, by treating the body as a whole. Don't know where I'd be without them — probably on pain killers."
Marian H.
